I have claimed a pinch hit, one of those 30-seconds-to-consider impulses that always leads to great things. In the hour since claiming the pinch hit, I have written the first five hundred words of the story, making me feel like succeeding is actually doable. On the other hand, these first five hundred words are not the first five hundred words of a thousand word story, so... maybe it isn't doable.

I have three days. Wheefun. Except one is Shabbos, and I don't roll on Shabbos.
