ghost_lingering and thirdblindmouse came over today. We're trying to start a routine of regular group vidding days.

It was a pretty productive vidding day. I got in person feedback on my Equinox vid, which is always good to have. I did some piece work on a few other vids. I did some Festivids tagmodding stuff. ghost_lingering made chip chocolate cookies.

And at ghost_lingering's request I made this quickie crack vidlet, which I am kind of proud of. It came together pretty nicely.

On a non-cracky note: I do think it's fascinating to look at the similarities and differences in how the two scenes are shot.

Yeah, you already heard all my rants about the way the Solo scene is shot yesterday. Notice how Chewie's face is partially out of the frame to intensify the focus on Han, notice how dark the color scheme is compared to Pitch Perfect (and, for that matter, compared to the original trilogy films), notice how intently the camera follows as Chewie's naked body moves toward Han's... I do not know why they made the choices they made, but they sure committed to those choices.
