My email tells me that Frank London and Jon Madof just released a recording of Kol Nidre (three repetitions) and I won't be able to listen to it until tonight and I cannot wait.

I don't think that was what I expected, but it was a very interesting listen.

Me neither. It was more John Zorn than Fela Kuti, to me. Then again Zion80 is on Zorn's label, so that's maybe not surprising. It felt to me like John Zorn with a side of Hal Willner / Weird Nightmare. But it was cool. I'm glad I listened to it.
