I miss the body I had when I was twenty. I remember one year on Simchas Torah we danced for a couple hours at Bronfman, then walked four miles uptown to the Carlebach shul, danced for another hour or two, then walked back down. I cannot even imagine doing that now. I was at a friend's wedding today and then I drove home and I was going to lay down for a couple minutes to unwind before doing the laundry... and then it took me a full hour of lying still before I could summon the energy to carry my laundry down two flights of stairs and load it in the washer.
