...so basically you're saying the Battle Room isn't a thing. The whole point is how it works! I mean, that's not the whole point of the books, but it was to a large extent what I found so fascinating about it when I first read it as an adolescent. (That's not even true. I was completely hooked, I remember, from the chapter where Peter reveals he loves Ender, even though he tortures him, which I think is chapter 2 or 3. But when I think about this book, my instinctive first thought is the Battle Room and how cool it is!) GAH.
