I am always pleased by how little overlap there is between your playlists and my collection. Bonus: I find most of what you share to be very listenable. Scanning over my own playlist of songs in languages other than English, I am reminded that I need to return the favor at some point... although I have no idea what languages most of them are. Do you put that in a file tag somewhere, or just remember?

Hmm... I accumulate odd music in almost inexplicable spurts. My friends tell me I have terrible taste in music. Those rare occasions when people let me play from my collection tend to end up with people discovering one or two new bands they love, and going WTF a lot. A lot of the time when I go back and try to assemble these playlists I can't even figure out how and when I acquired some of this stuff.

I love playing with languages, and between the impulse to collect odd music and the impulse to learn about interesting languages I end up with a lot of music in different languages. Last time I posted this, it was only nineteen or twenty languages, which still seems like quite a few. If you have questions about particular songs, please ask. There's also quite a stylistic range here, from rock to folk to dance music to classical.

Part of my head start, it should be noted, is that there are quite a few different *Jewish* languages and I have music in pretty much all of them. So this list has Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, and I think I actually forgot to put one of my Aramaic recordings on this list. Which I really should, because Ravel's Kaddisch is great, and so is De Rossi's.
