We didn't talk about that, no. It would've been interesting. I think I'm so far away from that part of fandom that I don't really think about it, but also yeah, I do find the Patreon for Fanfic model fascinating. And also I think that gets into my Characters Before Copyright end tangent, where fanfic writers in 18th century Germany were in some cases making more money than the original writers they were inspired by.
