seekingferretFriday at Vidukon ended with my "Odds Are You'll Be Sick of This Song By the End of This Vidshow", where, surprisingly a lot of people weren't sick of the song at the end! 16 vids to Barenaked Ladies "Odds Are", spanning the gamut from cheerfully optimistic to brutally ironic. People did complain all weekend about not being able to get the song out of their head. I make no apologies.
To me the highlight of the show was premieringabsternr's vid, to the show Imposters, which is about a group of hilariously inept con artists trying to get revenge on the con artist who broke all of their hearts. I hadn't seen the show until absternr started vidding it, but it's a delightful show and the vid is so good at capturing their pratfalls and the way they slowly become a team in spite of their emotional armor, and slowly become slightly better at being con artists while never really shedding the fundamental human flaws that doomed them to be conned in the first place.
I made sure in the show notes to warn for Richard's mustache, which is a thing unto itself. Somebody ought to make a vid just about his mustache.
