I had a tough conversation with my D&D group, or at least a conversation I was very nervous about having. I told them that because I want to devote my creative energy to Hunt this year, I was going to wind down our campaign in the next few sessions and hand over the reins to someone else to DM. I feel bad because it's going to mean that a lot of storylines I set up and spent a lot of time developing are going to be set aside, but I think I can deliver a fairly satisfying ending in another couple sessions. We'll see.

The session I ran Wednesday was interesting in that it was mostly me talking to myself. Seven party diplomatic negotiations where the players were just one party, so a lot of the time it was me making speeches. But I wasn't that worried, I've gotten a lot more confidence over the course of running this weird D&D game this past year and a half in doing weird things as a DM. I gave the players a lot of space to kibbitz among themselves and sort of process the various speeches, and it pretty much worked out.

Oh cool. That sounds well handled, I hope it goes well! It's always the case that you have to choose between cool things, if you always prioritise the existing thing, you would never have time to do a new thing.
