Right, but, like, Evangelical Christians have an answer to that question, don't they? Or slightly different answers depending on the exact group, but it's not like they pick verses out of a hat to give priority to. Evangelical Biblical literalists have a hermeneutics. And the question you propose is "What's your hermeneutics?" It's a fun question to debate, but the only people who ask it as a trap to catch out the believer are atheists who haven't spent much time thinking about the Bible.
