Regardless, I'm totally game for it. There's two basic approaches to the Big Bang. There's the sort of person saying "There's this seven minute long song I've long wanted to vid, I'm going to try to tackle it." And there's the sort of person saying "I wanna make/collaborate on a vid album."
I have already vidded a couple of six minute long songs. So I am in the second camp. I've had a long love affair with Bach's Goldberg Variations and I am attempting to vid the whole set. Depending on tempo, a performance of the Goldberg Variations is anywhere from 40 minutes to 1:10... I am for formal reasons intending to use a different performer's version for each of the variations, so I don't have a great sense for how long the work will end up, within that range.
This is a massive amount of vidding and I feel unlikely to succeed. The total amount of vid I have made to this point is not much more than an hour and a half. But I'm excited to try. I've made a first draft of the opening Aria vid over the past several days... the first two minutes of my project. Sometimes I vid really fast.
