I have to admit there's a bit of a metallurgy nerd in me. I originally signed on at a relatively low level to get an anodized aluminum die. And then out came the Tungsten dice and I was like "Well, that's novel and pretty neat, and totally useless. Tungsten is heavy and fairly inert. And real hard to machine. I'm impressed that they're doing it, since nobody does tungsten dice, but... only tempted a little bit."
And then out came the Damascus Steel dice, and that my willpower couldn't withstand. Yes, it'll be pretty useless for playing with, but... DAMASCUS STEEL. SOOOO PREEEEEEEEETTY.
Yes, there's a bit of a metallurgy nerd in me. It comes of having the melting point and yield strength of dozens of alloys memorized. :P
