Have you seen the Peggy Carter oneshot? Bradley Whitford is delightfully awful in a pure 1950s Josh Lyman way. Just as douchey as 2000s Josh, but he can get away with way more bullshit because there are no sex discrimination laws yet. I love Bradley Whitford on Trophy Wife, so I don't expect him to be a regular on the Peggy Carter series, but just another appearance or two, in tandem with 1950s Toby, would be great.
The thing I loved about casting Whitford in that role was that it showed that the Marvel people weren't trying to claim that we're less misogynistic in the 21st century, that they were interested in exploring 1950s sexism without having a superiority complex about it.
