A few months back, I got a crack on the windshield of my car. It took me a few days to track down options (unreasonable quote from the dealer, repair guys who told me the crack was too long for them to fix), which was apparently a mistake because that gave time for dirt and water to work its way into the crack. So that by the time I brought in one of those guys who sprays resin into the crack to seal it and keep it from propagating, he warned me that he wouldn't guarantee it.

It held for two or three months, and then yesterday I spotted it having grown another six inches. :( I'm out a damn windshield plus the eighty bucks for the first repair, it looks like. Fortunately (or not), my parents had to deal with a broken window on one of their cars this winter, so they had found a fast, cheap, and reliable auto glass shop they could recommend. Hopefully it will work out.
