Mar. 22nd, 2021 11:12 amYesterday I
- Went to work for an hour or so in the morning
- Baked some rolls for lunches this week
- Did a batch of laundry and washed all my dirty dishes
- Cleaned my oven and stove to convert them over for Pesach use
- Cleaned and covered most of my countertops, leaving a bit of space for this week's food prep
- Pulled out the Pesach cookware, boxed up most of the chametzdik cookware
- Triaged my fridge leftovers w/r/t what I will be able to eat this week
- Biked about three miles
- Walked about a mile
- Spent a couple hours working on the new Panda Magazine puzzle set with a hunt teammate
- Had a video meeting about Mystery Hunt design stuff
Yikes, it was kinda a lot. Pesach falling Motzei Shabbos is annoying, largely though not exclusively because the Sunday before Pesach is the best time I have to do most of my Pesach cleaning... but that means I'm losing access to most of my kitchen for the whole week. Unless I cook entirely pesahdik, which I'm also not quite ready for, I have... my toaster oven, my slow cooker, my rice cooker, and my electric kettle. And takeout, I suppose, though I'm avoiding that because EVERYONE is going to be swarming the kosher restaurants this week. So I'll be eating a lot of rice and beans this week, probably.
I'm very happy the weather is warming up and I can do outdoor exercise. I did get better in February at using my stationary bike, but I just find it so much more difficult to motivate myself to do that as compared to biking outdoors, where I have scenery. I rode out to the little lake by city hall and did a loop around it.
And I wish I could say more about Hunt stuff, but it's increasingly taking over more and more of my mindspace. :)
