2AM Notes for Future Yuletides

Dear Ferret,

What you really want out of a Nozze di Figaro fic, now that you've gotten the Rosina/Susanna/Cherubino fic of your dreams, is apparently Don Bartolo/Marcellina. Yes, it's weird, but by now you should just accept that you're weird. Either one of two things will make you happy: Young Don Bartolo and Young Marcellina, when they're in love and can't tell anybody about it and want to shout it from the rooftops, while still being cynical and manipulative and probably evil people also. Or the fic where Don Bartolo and Marcellina aren't actually Figaro's parents, and even that was just another part of Figaro's insane and over the top and totally doomed to failure scheme to mess with the Count, and when Susanna finds out she teams up with Rosina to get revenge.



In other news, the Met's Marriage of Figaro is pretty excellent. Now sleep.
