Yeah, well, I do not have a microwave yet, though I'm in the market, and reheated food often does not taste as good as just-cooked food, but absolutely leftovers are fine most of the time and a huge time and effort saver. And there's another advantage, that buying food in larger quantities is often cheaper than buying just-enough food.
Last night I cooked enough meat for dinner and several lunches to follow, and ate the meat with a roll I'd baked with the challah earlier in the day, leftover rice from a couple days ago, and some fresh salad. I think that sort of bastardized half-leftover half-new meal might end up being more common for me than either all-from-scratch or all-leftover meals.
