I think the only novel I've read so far that I would nominate, if I were nominating, is The Scorpion Rules, which sadly would never gain any traction because: YA. But there's several things on your list that I do plan to check out and am hopeful about.

I think at the moment the ones I would nominate are Mother of Eden, Uprooted, and The Grace of Kings. Possibly Ancillary Mercy, too.

I do hope to get to The Grace of Kings eventually. And also possibly to try more Gladstone; I was not super impressed by Three Parts Dead, but lots of people I trust enjoy the series, so I'm willing to chalk it up to me just not being the right mood at the time and giving the sequel a go.

I just read The Fifth Season . Curious what you end up thinking about it; I suspect that you would like it more than I did, and/or have a completely different reaction.
