I just wanted to say, I have been learning some Chullin with my chevruta and I referred back to some of your posts about this to understand what the debate was about. We were really helped by your explanation of what exactly a Mumar is, and also the technical stuff about why exactly you might need to check the knife if your shochet is known to be lax in his adherence to halacha. So, thank you for laying things out so that we could have a fruitful discussion and not be confused by suddenly getting thrown into shechita technicalities!
